I recently moved to the Stockade, one of the most historic parts of Schenectady. The building I moved into was originally built around 1850. It's amazing in that everyone who lives here is enthusiastic and passionate about the preservation of the area and it's buildings, which are gorgeous and unique. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and I'm thrilled to be here. See my dining room, new couch (the most comfiest couch ever), quicky DIY idea, and friends hanging out in the bathroom (because it is amazingly ginormous).

Just this week I started a new job at PriorityOne Networks in Schenectady as their marketing coordinator. They are a leading provider of Hosted Phone Systems (aka Hosted PBX) and Voice over Internet Protocol (aka VoIP) services for emerging growth and midsized businesses.

nyc here we come

Finally...today I am feeling healthier. I absolutely needed to be better for this weekend. We are heading down to the city to see my girls (SMURFS!) & participate in Santacon. It's my first year going and it should be quite the experience. Pictures to come! I'm excited to see my lovelies and my brother Max will be making an appearance. He will be in the city performing for and with internationally known jazz artist Wynton Marsalis...no big deal.

I hope to fit in the tree... I have never seen it at Christmas time! I think all these events will help me to get into the holiday spirit, which has been hard this year for many reasons. But I think it will come.

stuffed up & blue

All of my attempts to stay sick free this season was paying off... until today. I have been doubling up on EmergenC for weeks and taking vitamins religiously but this morning it was hello sinus pain and stuffy nose. Can't breathe. Or think. At the moment I have homemade chicken noodle soup simmering on the stove and hopefully it will cure all my ails.

new printer - better look!

About a month ago my ink jet printer bugged out on me and it took me another month to decide on a color laser printer. Thankfully, on black Friday I found one in the paper that was exactly what I was looking for... horray! I am still learning how to use it but my etsy shop is back up and running (I was sad to be away for so long) and I'm hoping to be printing more and more cards and other lovely things.
